Alex and Gabriella met at Alex’s Sigma Nu fraternity party. As the night was winding down, Alex offered Gabriella a coffee as she was one of the last people still at the party. After a few minutes of chatting, Alex asked for Gabriella's Snapchat!

After weeks of snapchatting, Alex finally asked Gabriella out on a date to Mezzo, a Berkeley favorite for sandwiches and snacks. They talked for hours, so much so that the staff had to ask them to leave because they stayed past closing!

After many dates, Alex asked Gabriella to be his girlfriend during a picnic on the shoreline in Alameda. From that moment on, Alameda became a special getaway—a peaceful escape from their busy lives in Berkeley.

During their last Cal football game as students, Alex and Gabriella celebrated an unforgettable victory—Cal beat Stanford 24-20, ending Stanford's nine-game winning streak that had lasted since 2010. Go bears!

Alex and Gabriella finished their undergraduate degrees while quarantining with Gabriella's family in Livermore. With so much uncertainty about when restrictions would lift or what the future held, they stuck together and persevered through the chaos.

After their virtual graduation, Alex moved into his first solo apartment in Dublin, California, to start his career at CooperCompanies. Gabriella stayed home in Livermore and began her career with Special Olympics North America. As they settled into their new professional lives, they decided to grow their little family—by rescuing Chuy! Little did they know, Chuy would become the second love of their lives.

Fifteen months after graduating, and well into their new careers and graduate school, Alex and Gabriella finally got to celebrate their UC Berkeley Class of 2020 graduation with an in-person ceremony.

Alex and Gabriella took a leap of faith and moved into an apartment together in Alameda. They chose a spot just two blocks from where he first asked Gabriella to be his girlfriend, and now Chuy gets to play on that very same sand.

Gabriella completed her Master of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University, and Alex started a new job at GoDaddy. To celebrate, they explored Washington, D.C. and Baltimore together. Go Hop!

Alex completed his Master of Science degree from Purdue University, and Gabriella started a new job at KPMG. To celebrate, they explored Indianapolis and Chicago together. Boiler Up!

In 2023 and 2024, Alex and Gabriella went on an adventure-packed journey! They explored Bear Valley, soaked up the charm of Santa Barbara, sipped wine in Napa Valley, felt the magic at Disneyland, and enjoyed San Diego. Beyond California, they ventured to St. Louis, Missouri, hiked in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and took a cruise along the Mississippi River.

Alex and Gabriella took their adventures to the next level by embarking on their first European trip together. They explored Ireland, visiting Dublin, Galway, and Killarney, and even biked across Inishmore in the stunning Aran Islands. Their journey continued in Northern Ireland, where they hiked along the coast and could see Scotland in the distance. It was an unforgettable experience!

Alex proposed to Gabriella on the beautiful shoreline of Alameda, taking her completely by surprise. It was one of the most unforgettable moments of their lives. To make it even more special, they've set the wedding date for exactly one year from that incredible day!
